Indian History begins with the Indus valley Civilization. The major excavation work took place at Mohenjo-Daro, Harappa and Lothal and this was the arrival of Aryans. This period could be well defined in two main terms as Vedic period and pre-Vedic period. Hinduism got its right shape during Vedic period when Vedas were written.
Buddhism spread largely in India and Asia during the reign of King Asoka in 5th century. Asoka himself becomes the follower of Buddhism. During the reign of the Mauryas, Buddhism got better publicity and followers to take it forward in different societies of the world. With the result, China, Thailand, Japan and many other countries.
Till 10th century, India remains Hindu Dynasty. Last Hindu King was Prithavi Raj Chauhan who was defeated by Qutubud-din-Aibak and followed by Khilizi Dynasty, Tuglaq Dynasty, Saiyd Dynasty and Lodhi Dynasty. Hence Islam came to India 10th century onward. These all the Muslim rulers rules from Delhi and only Mughal from Agra and Delhi.
Himanchal Pradesh more or his similar to Uttarkhand as some Himalaya range mooring ahead towards Jammu & Kashmir.
Himanchal Pradesh is rather more developed being the oldest developed hill station of India by the time British rule.
Main tourist cities are Simla, Kullu & Manali, and Dharmshala. Himanchal Pradesh is full with Hindu Shrines, hill beautiful mountains, adventure etc.

Ladakh-Leh is heaven for adventure sports tourists full with tibton culture, monasteries, also enjoy here the famous Yak safaris and some wildlife species.
New Delhi and Old Delhi are the heart of India . Delhi is capital of the country an os the most developed metropolitan city of India. Delhi has a lot of Historical Movements like Red fort, Qutub Minar, Himayun Tomb, Jama Mosgne, and Govt. Buildings. Delhi has complete infrastructure for tourism Industry.
U.P. has its own history and importance. U.P. is famous for Mughal Empire who ruled from Agra. Agra has world famous Taj Mahal and many other Historical movements listed by UNESCO such as Fatehpur Sikri, Agra Fort and Taj Mahal. Sikandra and Etmaddaulah are also beautiful.
Mathura is the Birthplace of Lord Krishna and attracts the millions of religion tourists every year.
Varanasi and Allahabad are also the world famous tourist destination. These cities have well developed Ghats on bank of Ganga (Most Holy River) and center of pilgrims for Hindus.
